Mission

Our mission is to be the first institution members will come to for their financial needs while adhering to the philosophy of "People Helping People."

History

Port Arthur Teachers Federal Credit Union was organized in February 1953 to serve the employees of the Port Arthur Independent School District. The credit union operated in the homes of the directors for the first 20 years until it purchased the first building. Through the stable location and sound financial planning, the credit union has become an over $35 million institution with over 3,500 members and offers a wide array of services. Port Arthur Teachers Federal Credit Union is currently located at 3001 Jimmy Johnson Blvd. in Port Arthur, Texas.

Port Arthur Teachers Federal Credit Union has expanded its charter to include a community charter, allowing all that live, work, worship, or attend school in PAISD boundaries to join the credit union.

Vision

Our vision is to make a difference by leaving a heartprint in the community.

You'll Never Catch Us Phishing!

Internet "phishing" scams are one of the fastest-growing frauds today. If you get an email asking you to verify personal information, it didn't come from your credit union, our regulatory agency (NCUA), or any other company affiliated with our credit union (such as TruStage)!

We'll never send you a letter or email asking for your account numbers, usernames, passwords, or Social Security number. If you get a message like that - don't bite! Instead, call your credit union to find out how to protect yourself from identity theft.
